Beginner Square Dance Class

We will be conducting a Beginner Square Dance Class this fall starting September 8. We will teach the basic Social Square Dancing call set designed to get people dancing at a fun and challenging level quickly. The class will meet Thursdays from 6:30PM to 8:00PM at our regular club venue, Monroe Hall in Santa Rosa.

The first session September 8 is to get acquainted and is free. Steve will introduce and explain square dancing. Fifteen sessions will follow weekly from September to early January, with short breaks for Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. There are two ways to pay:  for the full class, $75 ($5 per session) at the second session, September 15; or week-by-week, $7 per session starting on September 15 (cash or check only please).

Classes are open to all, ages 10 and older. Students from ages 10 to 15 will need to be joined in the class by an adult dancer for each session they attend. No partner is needed for learners older than age 15. Dress is casual; please wear comfortable shoes.

 

Proof of COVID vaccination will be required; wearing masks during class is optional. Complete the pre-registration form below if you have questions or would like to attend.
